Leadership Ignition Team wasn’t founded the way most business improvement firms were. It began with an observation Mike and Shane saw repeated in every industry they worked in: the distance between an organization’s potential and its actual performance is usually defined by a lack of discipline at the top. Most leaders know what needs to be done; far fewer have the discipline to model the standards, build the systems, and enforce the accountability required to make excellence repeatable.

We saw organizations drowning in good intentions but starving for alignment. We saw talented teams burning out because their leaders hadn’t created the clarity or the rhythms necessary to let them win. This realization shifted our focus from general consulting to a specific, deeper question: How do we help leaders ignite the kind of transformation that outlasts a single keynote or quarterly goal? That search became the framework we designed called The Discipline Advantage™.

Mike Hough
Shane Beckham

Mike specializes in optimizing organizational performance and solving complex operational challenges through a unique blend of experience and innovation. He leverages over 30 years of leadership to drive precision and efficiency in his work, ensuring teams move beyond traditional limitations to achieve measurable growth. He has successfully patented AI solutions to drive new methods of accelerated success.
His expertise encompasses B2B contracted services, aviation, organizational design, continuous improvement, and high-impact talent development. Beyond the systems and software, Mike believes that sustainable excellence is rooted in disciplined choices that define professional character.
Mike is an Army veteran who has held executive roles at United Airlines, Midwest Express, ATA, and Northwest Airlines. Most recently, he served as CEO of a private‑equity‑backed, high‑growth airline ground handling firm with 80 locations and launched LIT with Shane following a successful exit.

Shane focuses on the intersection of disciplined execution and human growth, helping leaders move from comfort into intentional action. He bridges the gap between high-level strategy and everyday operational reality, drawing on a deep background in business ownership and large-scale industrial management.
Shane believes that true organizational performance is only sustainable when leaders are equipped to model consistent standards and foster high-capacity teams.His expertise is rooted in gritty, real-world experience, having led asphalt and construction operations for industry leaders such as Scotty’s Contracting & Stone, Road Builders Supply, and Rogers Group Inc.
Today, he applies those same principles of practical discipline as the Chief Operations Officer at Leadership Ignition Team, the owner of Hendersonville Fit Body Boot Camp, and the managing member of SNBC Properties.
Where It All Came Together
We met each other through our independant but converging goals of health and fitness improvement in our 40s. Neither of us expected the physical transformation experience to reshape the way we understood leadership.
But it did.
The desire to put discipline in our health habits reminded us of something every leader eventually discovers:
